December ’22 Newsletter: Losing my Zen & Phone in New York City.

During my break in Holland, I had some amazing experiences and made wonderful connections with family & friends. Next, I went to New York where I was going to have a wonderful X-mas time with my dear soul friend, and we did. We visited the Rubin Museum for some Zen, strolled over the Xmas market on Union Square, Breakfast in Little Paris, Strands Bookstore and some magical shopping on 5th Avenue, a delicious dinner at Shoo Shoo Nolita and the thought-provoking musical Wicked and then ….  I lost my phone.Being without my phone in crazy hectic NY, was stressful. I totally beaten myself up for losing it. We looked for the phone where the cab dropped us and filed for a lost & found report. Then I managed to let it go, because I was kind of confident that the phone would show up. The next day we enjoyed Central Park, and then on to Rockefeller Center. In between we also passed Time Square and inquired about my lost phone at the NYPD kiosk. Initially I was fine and enjoying myself, but gradually I also started to lose my Zen. It was time to accept and get a new phone.

Among coaches we often ask each other the question “Why is this happening for you”. Which question I cannot fully answer as yet but I gladly share with you what I discovered.
