Walk for Grief

Navigating loss One step at the time

Grief can feel lonely and overwhelming.
You don’t have to carry it alone.

This gentle walk offers a quiet space in nature where your grief is welcome, your story can be witnessed, and healing can begin one step at a time.

Since becoming a certified Grief Educator, I have felt called to create a space where grief is not rushed, fixed, or silenced — but gently witnessed.

As author and grief counsellor Megan Devine reminds us, “Walking allows us to move at the pace of grief.”

Through my nature-based coaching training, I have learned that nature has a quiet way of holding what sometimes feels too heavy for words. Walking side by side in community can soften the isolation that grief often brings.

During this gentle walk, I will offer reflective questions, moments of quiet reflection, and optional sharing. Together we create a supportive space where you can:

  • Feel your grief in a safe and supported way
  • Better understand what may be happening inside you
  • Discover small, caring ways to tend to your heart
  • Experience the healing power of community

There will be moments of silent walking, paired reflections, and opportunities to share — always by choice, never by pressure. We will close the walk with a cup of herbal tea and a gentle ritual.

You are not meant to grieve alone.

Who Is This For?

This walk is for anyone experiencing grief after the loss of:

  • A loved one
  • A relationship or divorce
  • Health or a sense of identity
  • A significant change you did not choose

Participants only need to be able to walk gently for approximately 45 minutes.

This space is especially for those who:

  • Want their grief to be witnessed
  • Wish to better understand what they are feeling
  • Long to connect with others who are also carrying loss
  • Feel ready to take a gentle step toward healing

What You Can Expect

Each walk centers around a guiding theme or reflection, such as:

  • What do I want to remember today?
  • What feels hardest right now?
  • What support do I need but struggle to ask for?
  • How is this loss reshaping me?

You may leave the walk with:

  • A deeper understanding of your grief
  • A sense of shared humanity
  • A small personal ritual or insight to carry forward
  • The knowing that your grief matters and that you are not alone

About Your Guide

The walk is guided by Gea Sougé, certified Grief Educator, Nature-Connected Coach, and Wayfinder Life Coach.

For more than 15 years, Gea has supported individuals navigating life transitions — especially the changes they did not choose. Her work blends nature connection, emotional awareness, gentle inquiry, and community care.

She believes grief is not something we need to “get over,” but something we learn to carry with tenderness, meaning, and support.
