It was so joyful. The red poppies energized me to continue my path even when I was tired. I took tons of pictures of all the flowers, but those images don’t reflect the real beauty and feel of the flowers.

The fields of flowers made me sing and I often sat with the flowers and admired their beauty. If you take a good look at the poppy flower you will notice that the center is sometimes purple and sometimes black, like a beautiful colored Mandala.

The corn flowers also brought back sweet memories from my youth when I would lay in the grass, count the clouds, or pick flowers, make flower crowns while I wandered.

One day on the Camino I found this amazing hidden spot overlooking the mountains where I found all these clovers. I sat there for hours and made a flower wreath of yellow clovers on my hat. That day my name changed from Miss Aruba to Miss Flower ☺

Ralph Waldo Emerson said: “The Earth laughs in flowers.” I laughed back and it inspired me to write this little poem:

The Flowers help you smile

The Birds help you sing

The Mountains help you rise

The Trees help you grow

The Rivers help you flow and

The Clouds help you let go.

So the flowers made me love, smile, cry with joy, and feel peace. I realized that people touch you in the same way. There was this Danish Pilgrim on my Camino that made me laugh so hard I started crying. And a Brazilian Pilgrim that was the most relaxed human being alive; with him I felt at peace. A Californian Pilgrim was the sweetest flower around, she made me feel loved. An Australian could really empower and energize me. And this French couple humbled me. Another wise pilgrim gave me clarity. For me, all these people had the same impact as the flowers on my path. They gave me love, joy, encouragement and peace.

Who are the flowers in your life? How do they make you feel? Are they aware they are a flower in your life? Let them know you might also be a flower in their life.

Enjoy the video of some of my flower images. I would love your feedback.

[5

post-1079","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-camino-reflections
["GET
